Immediately after downloading Linux, Linux is only capable of performing basic functions. This is due to not installing other apps.
After downloading Linux, it is best to update the O.S. immediately. This installs other apps that allows greater usage of Linux. It is best to update the Linux every day or; at the leads 2 weeks. This allows installation of every necessary app for personal use.
Remember, linux is a custom O.S. It may be customized for every user.
If using Linux for downloading anything; make sure what you download is to be given to everyone using Linux. Linux automatically sends all of your new data to others on the internet to use. If you have private, personal; or secure software that you develope; or any other media such as music, use another Operating System. An excellent O.S. is Free BSD. Free BSD does not force you to share anything with anyone.
